Hello Mother’s Day Cakes @ 85C Bakery Cafe!

Through the years, 85C Bakery Cafe has been a go to place for my mom and I whenever we want some fresh bread, tasty coffee and boba and sweet treats. This Mother’s Day 2020; things are a little different on how we will celebrate but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy our favorite 85C Bakery Cafe treats.

This Mother’s Day 2020; 85C Bakery has debuted a new delectable dessert that is perfect for sharing with mama. This new cake is the Mama Nana!

The Mama Nana is a Banana Brûlée cake consisting of chocolate chiffon cake layered with fresh banana and vanilla creme brulee. It is covered with fresh cream, fresh strawberries and blueberries. As a lovely finishing touch it is decorated with a chocolate flower. Not only is this cake absolutely gorgeous; it is so delicious.  The cake is so soft and the brûlée is so creamy. I also love all the fruits in this cake. Fruity, sweet and oh so tasty!

Aside from the Banana Brûlée, 85C Bakery Cafe is also offering four other delightful cakes for their Mother’s Day line up. They’ve got Mango Creme Brûlée; Classic Tiramisu, Deluxe Strawberry and Red Velvet!

My mom is the sweetest person I know and she deserves the sweetest treats on her day; Mother’s Day!

You too; can enjoy sweet 85C Bakery Cafe treats! They have these cakes and more at your local store. Hurry on over and get something special for the special mom in your life.

Hello Manhattan Beach Post!

Hello Manhattan Beach Post!

Ever since Manhattan Beach Post opened up in April 2011, this lovely social house has been one of my favorite places to dine at. Every thing that Chef/owner David LeFevre has on the menu is simply superb and it is a natural go-to restaurant for special occasions. It was thus perfect to celebrate Mother’s Day today here with my forever best friend, my mom.

Manhattan Beach Post was packed right at it’s opening at 10am but we were blessed to get a table. The biggest blessing however was being able to bond with my mom at this wonderful place.

First up for us is famous Bacon Cheddar Buttermilk Biscuits.

These fluffy biscuits with little pieces of bacon and cheddar cheese are perfectly meaty and cheesy. The magic lies with that side of maple butter though. Smother on some of that sweet butter and you truly are in for a sweet treat.

For our main entrees, we started off with Manhattan  Beach Post’s Chimichanga.

The chimichanga here is one gigantic fried piece of deliciousness. It is stuffed with green chile pork, golden fertile egg, potato and oaxaca cheese. On top it is smothered with guacamole and there is even more guacamole along with sour cream on the side. It’s fulfilling and wonderful.

The other main entree we tried was the Huevos Tinga.

A comfort food, that is normally found in Mexican restaurants, Manhattan Beach Post has their own version with poached egg, hominy and oaxaca cheese. I loved the tomato and chili chipotle sauce. This dish was truly full of flavor.

Manhattan Beach Post has never disappointed and both my mom and I were thrilled to celebrate here today! We were full of smiles from start to finish.

Hello Mother’s Day lunch for my Mom! :)

Hello Mother’s Day lunch for my Mom! :)

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms in the world and to my mom! Today and every day, I am thankful that God has blessed me with such a wonderful mom who is so sweet, kind and loving!

I took my mom to lunch today for Mother’s Day at one of our favorite places, The Cheesecake Factory.

The Cheesecake Factory is great! They have an extensive menu and so there is something for every one. I am particularly fond of their skinnylicious menu for healthier eats! There’s a lot items to choose from for vegetarians.

My favorite non meat dish is the garlic noodles. Their garlic noodles are wonderful for vegetarians! It has asparagus, shiitake mushrooms and oven roasted tomatoes!

Aside from the skinnylicious menu, I am fond of the small dishes menu. Small dishes are similar to appetizers but more like mini meals! My mom and I tried the portebella mushroom, avocado and zucchini fries! They are so tasty because they are served fresh and hot!

From the main menu, one of our favorites is the Chicken Madeira dish! It turns out my mom and I are not alone in liking this dish because it is the most popular chicken dish of The Cheesecake Factory. It is a dish overloaded with good stuff! It has sautéed chicken breast topped with crispy asparagus, mushroom madeira sauce and mozzarella cheese!

I am also a fan of the meatloaf here! The meatloaf is so soft and tender and it matches well with the side of corn succotash and mashed potatoes.

Last but no least, is the cheesecake here!

My mom and I tried their newest cheesecake offering, the Oreo dream extreme! It has a fudge cake base and a giant Oreo cookie on top! It’s a chocolate lover’s dream!

Our favorite cheesecake however is the red velvet cheesecake! It is a combination of two of our favorites, moist red velvet cake and sweet cheesecake! It is so yummy!

The Cheesecake Factory was a great place to treat my mom! It was a sweet lunch for the sweetest mom ever ❤. Yes, the food was amazing but what truly made it amazing was the bonding time I got to spend with the amazing person I call my best friend, my mom. I love you Mom & cherish each moment with you :).
