Hello Kitty Foodie at Hello Kitty’s Supercute Friendship Festival in LA!

Just recently I got to go to the launch event of Hello Kitty’s Supercute Friendship Festival in LA!

It was truly a dream come to true to be able to attend this event. I was so happy to see The Forum in Los Angeles filled with so much Hello Kitty and friends cuteness! Each and every guest definitely could say hello to their favorite Sanrio character because several characters had special little stations.

My first stop was Keroppi’s Donut Pond. Did you know Keroppi lives with his family on the edge of Donut Pond. Here at the festival, guests could visit and cross over the little bridge to Keroppi’s place, the largest and bluest pond around. I didn’t see any donuts though. Haha

For foodies like myself, My Melody’s bakery was a must visit. It was filled with the sweet aroma of fresh baked cookies! My Melody is sweeter than sweet and so are the baked goods she makes!

Another sweet spot was Purin’s house. Just like all of us foodies, Purin is a fan of sweet treats. I caught him in the middle of a nap and dreaming about his mama’s homemade pudding. How funny is it that the Sanrio characters are just like us!

Badtz-Maru played it cool with his neat car garage! All of us foodies need some transportation to take us to the all restaurants and this penguin will make sure we get a sweet ride to get us there.

I also made a wish at Little Twin Stars’ Soft Galaxy. My favorite twins Kiki and Lala’s starry starry place is so cute! I wished for more Hello Kitty events for Hello Kitty Foodie to attend!

Last but not least was Hello Kitty’s house! Hmm I could not help but notice Kitty has a stocked up fridge full of kawaii sweet treats! I wonder when Kitty will invite me over so I can blog about her cooking! 😉

It was so fun visiting the various places of the characters! I also got to learn more about them in the Sanrio Friendship Forest!

It was also lots of fun to see them in their supercute Sanrio performances on stage! Hello Kitty and friends sure know how to put on a show. Those Sanrio characters can bust a move ;). Dear Daniel is quite the dancer! Keroppi is a great DJ! I think I should invite them to my next event!!

Hello Kitty Foodie was full of smiles at Hello Kitty’s Supercute Friendship Festival in LA! I love Hello Kitty and her supercute friends!

Hello Kitty hugs to you all for reading!!

Hello Easter Egg-licious lunch at Nice China Cafe!

Hello Easter Egg-licious lunch at Nice China Cafe!

For today’s Easter edition of the Hello Kitty Foodie blog, we have special little tale.

Once upon a time, there was a cute little egg Kitty. She was a bright and happy kitty who always wore a smile and a pink bow in her hair.

One day she met a friend, named Daniel. He was a dear friend and hence his name is Dear Daniel (egg). Similar to kitty he also wore a bow but it was blue bow tie.

On Easter, they had nice lunch at Nice China Cafe. Nice Cafe is a perfect place to celebrate happy days like Easter. Like Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel, it’s a small and cute. It is a cozy cafe specializing in cusine from Hong Kong.

Lunch specials at Nice China Cafe include a small hot and sour soup.

There are various different entrees to choose from in the lunch specials from traditional chicken dishes to special Cantonese beef entrees.

For today’s Easter lunch, these two eggs err kitties err kids chose to get the kung pao chicken and the sesame beef.

The kung pao chicken was a mix of chicken, white and green onions, bell pepppers and peanuts. There were lots and lots of peanuts in this dish. Unlike other kung pao dishes, this one was not to spicy.

The sesame beef was sweet dish. The beef was nice and crispy. There were lot of sesame sprinkled on top of the beef.

Both dishes were excellent and full of flavor. This place really specializes in traditonal Cantonese cuisine. No frills, no fusion but simple and cozy cooking. It’s good food that is perfect for a nice little Easter lunch between two little easter (egg) kitties. 😜

Hello Kitty Foodie and Dear Daniel love Nice China Cafe! There food was egg-licious!
