A new restaurant has opened up at the Torrance Crossroads plaza in Torrance, California. Joining the string of eateries there is Two Hands. Two Hands is a restaurant offering Seoul Fresh Corn Dogs!
Corn Dogs are a staple of American good eats but did you they are also a popular street food in Korea? Korean corn dogs are usually made from sausage or mozzarella cheese. Here at Two Hands; you have your choice of either sausage, mozzarella or even half and half. There is also half mozzarella and half cheddar or spicy sausage.
They currently have six corn dogs to choose from on the menu. The offerings are:
Two Hands Dog has their signature ranch sauce. I really love ranch and so if you’re a fan of ranch like me; this one is the corn dog for you.
Spicy Dog which has a combo of their spicy sauce and hot Cheetos powder. Fiery lovers will be a fan of the kick that this has.
Potato Dog which has potato cubes wrapped around a corn dog and then topped with their signature dirty sauce. This one is my personal favorite! I love the crispy potato. The dirty sauce that is smothered all over is also the best! It is such a creamy and delightful sauce. I even found myself asking for extra sauce.
Crispy Rice Dog has crispy rice puffs all around. This is another one that I really like! I love the extra crunch! One can get it plain or with ketchup, mustard or sugar. I personally like to get it plain as I like the simple rice puffs and batter flavor of the corn dog.
Injeolmi Dog has bean powder and their sweet sauce. This one is a bit more unique and one for those who want something a bit different.
Classic Dog has a sweet and savory taste. This is the classic Korean style corn dog. It’s great for those who want to try something simple for the first time.
If you can’t decide between all of the above; Two Hands has a great Mega Box that allows you to try the variety. This is an awesome deal and really good way to try the different types of corn dogs offerings.
Each of Two Hands corn dogs are made fresh upon order and so everyone is guaranteed to get something hot and delicious
Two Hands is one of my new favorite places in Torrance. I love the fresh and tasty corn dogs! The crispy outer and the tender dogs inside make for a perfect treat!

Through the years; Pacific Square in Gardena, California has become a plaza that I have come to love. Not only did they once house my childhood favorite Sanrio store; Sanrio Gardena; they also have been home to several good restaurants and boba places through the years. Now another tasty place has opened up in that plaza. Teppan Tarou is now at the Tokyo Central and Main store at Pacific Square.
Teppan Tarou specializes in a variety of classic Japanese dishes. One can find yakisoba, kushiage okonomiyaki and curry dishes. Their food is cooked by experienced Japanese chefs on a teppan or flat iron grill.
I recently visited Teppan Tarou and was excited to try out their Japanese food. It was difficult for me to decide what to have but as a big fan of curry; I chose to get their Pork Katsu Curry Rice dish.
This Japanese dish was excellent. The Pork Katsu was perfectly crunchy and well accompanied with fresh, crisp asparagus. The main star was the curry. The curry sauce was nice and thick. Tastewise it had a nice spicy kick. I definitely felt the heat from the curry instantly but found that the spice was nicely offset with the sweetness of ginger that was also part of the dish. The curry is comparable to some of the best curry that I have had in Japan.
Teppan Tarou definitely knows their curry and I am so excited to try more of their authentic Japanese cuisine in the future.
For more smiles; please see my Yelp review on Teppan Tarou.
My boyfriend and I love watching Top Chef. Every Thursday night my tv is set to record the latest episode of the awesome cooking show and come the weekend we’re off watching and discussing the latest Top Chef episode. Thus it is no surprise that when I heard Top Chef finalist and alum, Richard Blais partnered with Rubio’s Coastal Grill I was super excited.
The James Beard-Nominated Cookbook Author and Restaurateur has created a new line of adventure-inspired street tacos just for Rubio’s!
His offerings include a Hawaiian-inspired Hula Hula Carnitas Taco, a Blaised & Glazed Crispy Chicken Taco and Ancho Po-Boy Shrimp Taco. From Aloha eats to classic New Orleans cuisine; these tacos are sure to be loved by many. One can even customize the tacos with their choice of tortilla; flour, corn or “Keto-style” cheese tortilla.
The tacos will be served with choice of 2 of Rubio’s delicious sides . Theywill be available starting May 20 at Rubio’s locations in California, Arizona and Nevada.
If you are a Rubio’s Rewards members however you are in for a special treat because you will be first to try the new Rubio’s x Blais Street Taco Plate via VIP early access. For one day, on May 19, Rubio’s Reward members can place an order online at Rubios.com, or through the app, and get one free Blais taco or $5 off the Rubio’s x Blais Street Taco Plate.
I don’t know about you but I am so ready to munch on these tacos while watching my favorite episode of Top Chef. If you get to try these tacos; I’d definitely love to hear which taco you liked best!
Hello Kitty Foodie always sippin’ bubble tea! It’s no secret that I love boba and I also love discovering new bubble places! I am thus so happy that I was able to visit the new Prima Cafe that just opened up in Lomita, California.
Prima Cafe has an amazing line up of coffees, brewed teas, flavored iced teas and milk teas. They also have macarons and cookies to pair with your favorite drink! Yum!
I love how this South Bay cafe has drink names that represent the South Bay! You can find “The Peninsula”, “The Golden Cove” and even “PCH” on their menu! Being a South Bay native; I love the nod to the local places.
The other thing that I love about this place is how they have such tasty and unique combos and flavors. My current favorite is their White Rabbit! Yes! White Rabbit named just like the original milky sweet candy from China. The White Rabbit consists of White Peach, Lychee, and Kumquat infused with Jasmine Green Tea and paired with Lychee Jelly.
I love the pairing of the different flavors! Peach is one of my all time favorite flavors and this just had the right peachy hint! I also really enjoyed the lychee and lychee jelly! Last but not least; I liked the citrus flavor that the kumquat gave. It is so refreshing for Spring days!
I’m always happy to be “Sippin’ bubble tea” and so even happier to see a new place in the South Bay!

Now it’s time to reveal those dirty (dough) little secrets one by one….hmm cookie confession time!
One of my ultimate favorite cookies from Dirty Dough is The Knockout Cookie. It’s a true sweet knockout with this cookie. It’s a chocolate based cookie filled with white chocolate. It is topped off with more chocolate via a white chocolate Hershey bar and white chocolate chips. Yummy chocolate everywhere! So dirty! So good! The Knockout Cookie is one of their rotational cookies and so you want to make sure to get this while they have it.
Another fabulous cookie is the Chocolate Chip Cookie. Today happens to be National Chocolate Chip Day and so today is the perfect day for this cookie. This one is not your average Chocolate Chip cookie. It’s gigantic and has chocolate chips galore. It’s chewy, soft and perfect sweet. Hmm here is my secret…you can get this cookie whenever you want because this cookie is part of Dirty Dough’s main menu. You can always get it for those treat yo’ self days regardless of whether it’s National Chocolate Chip Day or not!
Sometimes in life you can’t decide and if you can’t pick between The Knockout Cookie or Chocolate Chip; than perhaps the Cookies and Cream Cookie is perfect for you! This one is amazing and has gooey white and dark chocolate. It’s a perfect combo of all types of chocolate. Here’s my secret; I’m already craving it (along with a tall glass of milk) while I’m typing this!
Dirty Dough Cookies definitely has a great chocolate flavored cookies but it’s no secret that I love my fruity flavors. This is where my love for their Strawberry Cheesecake Cookie comes into play. This is strawberry flavored dough with white chocolate chips. It has just the right hint of strawberry and it has that perfectly sweet taste that does taste like cheesecake. I love this and it’s definitely one that tops my list of all time great cookies! It’s another rotational item and a must try.
I’ve only featured four cookies in this blog post but Dirty Dough has so much more. Their menu rotates and so you’re sure to find some sweet delights and surprises weekly. One thing is guaranteed for sure though and that is that you will get HUGE, soft, chewy and flavorful cookies when you order from Dirty Dough! Their flavors are fun and delicious. Hmm and now you know my dirty little secrets…..
Dirty Dough is available for pick up, delivery and shipping nationwide.

Mo-Mo Paradise for my Mommy! Moms deserve the best today and every day! For this Mother’s Day; my mom and I went to dine at one of our favorite places; Mo-Mo Paridise. Ever since their opening in 2017 in Torrance; this place has been our go-to for Japanese shabby shabby cuisine.
I am super happy that this place has opened once again. Same day reservations are not allowed and so I made sure to place a reservation a few days before. They’ve got both outdoor dining as well as limited dining inside. (They do check your temperature before dining at their restaurant).
Previously it was a buffet style setting where customers can get from Mo Mo Paradise’s “garden”. Though diners can no longer get the veggies themselves; it is still an all you can eat experience. The only difference is the Mo Mo team members will bring everything to your table.
We started off our meal with three appetizers: Curry Rice, Buta Shabu Udon Salad and Cabbage Salad. Every thing was delicious. The Curry Rice has always been one of our favorites. We love the thick curry sauce over white rice. The Buta Shabu Udon Salad became a new favorite tonight. They gave lots of beef and noodles. It was so tasty but we definitely had to leave room for hot pot later.
My mom and I definitely enjoyed our shabu shabu hot pot. We throughly enjoyed our beef chuck eye and beef short plate shabu shabu. We loved the variety of vegetables. There was kale, napa cabbage, woodear mushrooms and more! Everything came together for nice hearty and good meal.
Last but not least; Mo-Mo Paradise gave us ice cream. Tonight’s flavors included Rocky Road, Vanilla and Strawberry. It was definitely a sweet ending for a sweet dinner for my mommy!
Mo-Mo Paradise for my mom was a great way to spend Mother’s Day! Only the best for my mommy and Mo-Mo Paradise is definitely one of the best when it comes to hot pot!

I love lumpia! Lumpia or Filipino egg rolls is one of my favorite dishes ever. It simply reminds me of home and family gatherings. Just recently I discovered Wowa’s; a wonderful small business that offers a variety of different egg rolls.
Wowa’s offers Filipino Pork and Chicken Shanghai rolls. These are the classic egg rolls that is always present at Filipino parties. I love Wowa’s version because they really are just like the ones I fondly remember from my childhood. The small egg rolls are individually wrapped to achieve the maximum crunchiness when fried. I love how crispy these Shanghai rolls are. They are so addicting and you’ll definitely find yourself wanting to have more each time you bite into one. They are available in pack of 25, 50, or even 100 rolls and so there is definitely plenty of deliciousness to go around and be shared. Yum!
I love the Wowa’s Shanghai Rolls but my favorite offering is their Sontanghon rolls. I love these rolls that are stuffed with glass noodles. These Sontanghon rolls are packed with noodles and packed with flavors. Noodles and lumpia are both traditional Filipino food served at parties. Eating these Sontanghon rolls makes you feel like it’s party time at dinner time. I’ll celebrate anytime with these delightful treats. These are available in packs of 10.
Aside from Shanghai Rolls and Sontanghon rolls; Wowa’s also has Vegetable egg rolls and Lumpanisa! Their Lumpanisa is their latest offering and is a combo of lumpia and longanisa!
If you love lumpia like I do; Wowa’s is definitely one you need to check out. If you’re interested in getting some of these masarap eggrolls; you can find the Wowa’s on instagram via https://www.instagram.com/_wowas_/.
